Finished project:

Hi Blog Friends!

Thank you all for leaving such sweet comments on my last post.
You have no idea how much it means to me to receive so much love.
It just touches my heart that so many of you take the time to stop and comment on my posts.
Thank you!
Well, I finished the hutch last evening and think it turned out perfect for what I want to use it for.
I'll be changing my selling booth next week and want to use this as a display piece.

TaaDaa!

I was thinking first to do in black, but then in thinking about how it would look in a 5'x5' space~
I thought it would be to dark. I think the aged white will look fresh and open.

I even did the interior.

The top of the base cabinet has a wood grain for-mica top, so I couldn't do anything with it.

I forgot to share this great find from the weekend too.

A 1985 Longaberger basket! From the same vendor I purchased the hutch from.
I paid $6.00 for it!

It's in perfect condition and has a nice patina on it.

And I finished another penny mat last night.

Now I have three more to go.

Well, I'm on a roll Ladies!
Today I have a stack of sewing waiting for me~ dolls, birds, journals, and some mail bags.
Hope you are having a great productive day in whatever you are doing.

Blessings and thanks for stopping by.
Jean

  3. Oh my, Jean, your project turned out wonderful! I like the antique white myself, though I tend to lean towards black most of the time, but agree this is a perfect finish to show off your wonderful prims! I predict you will have many offers on this piece. That's the way it goes when we aren't selling an item, right? lol
    Busy, busy, busy!
I shouldn't be on here as I've got lots going on around here. Stopped to check for an email I'm waiting on and had to check out what everyone else is up to.

  12. Jean I absolutely love it! It's funny you were thinking about doing it in black...ONLY cuz..I just redid a dresser for my sons room. I was going to "do it in black". Then decided his room is a dark brown...with red and black..and thought it needed some contrast...so what did I pick..same colors you did!!! Katie

  15. Wow, wow Jean!! The hutch turned out fantastic!! Are you sure you can part with it?? I don't think I would be able to, lol. Although I'm with you on wanting to paint it black, I think the white would be perfect for the booth.

Great job on your penny mats too, they look wonderfully prim! Maureen's bunny is so adorable! Have fun creating and crafting away~
