Getting back on track~

Hi Blog Friends!

Hope you are all doing well and making the most of your days.

I’ve been trying to catch up on lost time ~ being sick for weeks as you all know; really put me behind on craft work. But I think I have my mojo back and am enjoying crafting again.

Sadly, last weeks snow event here in the valley was a fizzle.

001

This was all we got, so needless to say, I didn’t get to make a snowman with my kit from Teri yet.

I stayed in and worked on some Valentines items to put in my selling booth.

Here is one of my favorite Valentines I made this year.

004

It’s a pattern by Kentucky Primitives.

I also wanted to do some St Patty items and had a pattern for an Irishman designed by Crows in the Attic Primitives.

006

I wanted to do some shamrocks to offer my customers too, so I just drew out the shape and sewed some up. I love how they turned out! Just plain and simple.

Remember a few posts back, I mentioned that I wanted to come up with a different kind of prim pineapple.

Here’s what I came up with. I like how it turned out, but Mr. Prim Craft didn’t get it.

So, what do you think?

007

Now, if you’ve read my post this far, I think you deserve a little chance to win one of my favorite Valentine items.

I DO NOT want you to advertise this giveaway. I want only the friends that read my blog posts to enter. My way of showing my true appreciation of you.

So, if you comment on this post you are entered. That simple!

I will draw a name on Friday evening~ Jan. 27th, say around 5pm est and announce then.

Wishing you all a very blessed day!

  1. Hello Jean~
That's about as much as we got the other day too!
Hope the snow doesn't come too late or it will be springtime by then.
Glad you are feeling better my friend. Sure puts a cramp in our style when we are down with the crud and can't craft!
I happen to love that new pineapple, even if the Mr. didn't get it. (smile) Mine's the same way when I show him things. Aw well, gotta love 'em anyway.
    Check your email.

  2. Hi, Jean,
That's about how much snow we got last week too! I love snow, and I'm hoping we can at least get enough to cover the ground before spring gets here. :)
Glad to see you're feeling better. The crud has definitely been making its rounds here.
The items you made are so cute! Enjoy the rest of your week!

  3. Hi Jean,
I'm an avid reader of your blog (don't have one of my own) and I don't always leave comments.....especially lately since I lost my mom and still in a slump. I do love the crafts you do and the pineapple is very nice!
We did get a lot of snow one day but then the rains came and now it's all gone and too much water laying around! What a mess.
Glad you are feeling better and back to crafting. Have fun,
    Cheryl

  5. Hi Jean.... glad you are feeling better. I'm still coughing from the crud I had about a month ago... it doesn't seem to want to go away.... ugh.

Love your pineapple! My husband is still trying to figure out the stuff I do around here (the one thing that he REALLY doesn't understand is having pictures of people we don't know around the house.... They are family, but how they're related we don't have a clue.....! And my girls still don't get my "scary" dolls.... Prim decorators understand... and think your new prims are great! Have a wonderful day.....

  9. So glad you are feeling better. I hate being sick, too. Been lucky so far--knock on wood!
I am loving the Valentine/heart make-dos. Very creative. I think the pineapple is perfect, looks like it took a lot of work....
We got 4" of snow but it has since melted. We haven't gotten any of the rain everyone else has and we really need moisture. It has been a really odd winter. We're hoping our spring isn't late again this year. Sure messed up the garden! Don't overdo. Hope you're 100% soon!

  11. Thank you, Jean! Please include me in the drawing. I totally get the pineapple, it's perfect, I don't know what he doesn't get.
Hubbies... the shamrocks are so cute, no
one ever does those, they will make awesome
bowl fillers. The hearts are real cute and
simple, that makes them really nice.
    Hugs,

  14. Yeah, I'm with you Jean. That's about how much snow we have received all winter long. =[ I want some feet of beautiful white snow covering everything where we are snowed in for a few days. I actually love those kind of days! It's happening all over blogland, but not here in Oklahoma.

I think your prim pineapple turned out cute! Don't listen to the men, they usually don't get it and if they do... I wonder if it's just to satisfy us? Lol!

Very cute Valentine and St. Patty handmades! How fun to have a quiet giveaway, I like that... more chances to win, hehe! Thank you for the opportunity Jean, I just adore everything you create!

Have a delightful week, my friend~

  17. We didn't get much snow either but is fine with me. I am sure when we move this year farther North and closer to family we will get a LOT more. I like your Pineapple and my DH is the same way..I show him something and he says "What am I supposed to be looking at" Then of course I just leave the room, I would love to be entered in your give away and Love the hearts. I do not have any Valentine decorations to put out and just can't get in the mood to sew right now.
Thanks for offering such a sweet give away
