We just had an Earthquack here in Virginia.
It was said to be a 5.8 ~ shook the house something terrible but all is well.
Pictures fallen, dishes rattled, floor rumbled~ very scary for about 5 - 10 seconds.
I have not experienced an earthquack since I was 9 yrs old living in Maryland.
Still a bit scared from this, but am okay.
I'm glad you are ok Jean!
ReplyDeleteI just heard about it on the news. I don't usually have TV on during the day but have it on the Weather Channel keeping tabs on hurricane status for the east coast. Praying it misses everyone~
Hugz,
Sheila
Felt it here too along the Ohio river. I thought it was my air conditioning unit or jets flying over shaking the house. We all are sitting on an earthquake fault line. The quake here was not quite as bad as what you got. I'll have to watch the news to see what we got here.
ReplyDeleteStay safe and keep your eyes peeled.

Wow. There was one in CO too, around midnight I think. It is rare to have any that are newsworthy.

ReplyDeleteHi Jean, so glad you are alright. I didn't feel it here, I had gone to Harrisonburg, but all my pictures are on the wall so maybe it wasn't felt here. Wow that is scary. Take care, Hugs,

ReplyDeleteWow...glad to hear you're ok - quakes are something foreign here in Nod - although we did have one that folks felt back about 20 years ago - such a strange sensation....Hope you stay safe Jean....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
ReplyDeleteHiya Jean - I didn't feel it at our new house, but our son felt it just an hour away....he said the house was just trembling and things on his desk were moving quite a lot...and we are in Central NY....so it was felt quite far.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are ok!
Hi Jean, Glad your ok. I didn't feel anything here in W. PA, but my daughter, 5 min from me, said her office and things were shaking for awhile. Other places 15 mins away, said they felt the shaking too. Toooo bizzare!!!!

Hi Jean,
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are ok!! We felt it here in Ohio too, but not as strong. My daughter & I were out driving in the car...so we didn't feel a thing, but we heard that some of the buildings around here did some shaking. I did notice that a few of my pictures and a birdhouse on the wall were crooked. I lived here for 18 years and this is the 3th earthquake that we have felt. Kind of scary!!
hugs,
Cindy
