Been working

Hi Blog Friends!
It's a beautiful day here in the valley.
Blue skies, light breeze with a temp of 72.
All the colors in the yard are so vibrant right now~
I love Spring!

Well I've been slowly getting my mojo back and finished a couple of prim horses so far.

This one is rather large and stands on a base.

I used brushed swede for their bodies. The saddles are wool.
Their bodies are darker in person.

The little one here has stick legs~ isn't he cute!!
They were made from a pattern by Jackie Schmidt TFC Folkart.

Then I ordered a bunch of wool bundles from Margie at Hungry Hook Primitives so I could make me a few penny mats.

I was at a chain craft store in the mall a few weeks ago and seen a beautiful penny mat I thought would look wonderful on my dining room table, but then when I seen it cost $75 bucks; I thought good grief I can make that!

I have most of the pennies blanket stitched together and still need to stitch them to the osnaburg fabric. I'm loving how they're turning out~

I went to a flea market last Saturday and found 4 very nice ladder back chairs at a steel!
I am going to turn them into make do chairs!
I've seen so many on the net and found some tut's, so wish me luck! Hopefully next week I can start working on them.
So that's what I've been up to this week~
How about you? What have you been up to?

Have a great week!
Blessings,

Swap goodies from Sara:

Hi blog friends!
It's turning out to be a beautiful Saturday afternoon here in the valley.
It rained most of the morning, but the skies have cleared and the sun is shining~
Sorry I've been MIA for awhile.
It seems there just is not enough time in the day for all things to be done and I've battled a head cold and flu for the past few weeks. I lost my voice, which Larry loved, but I'm on the mend and hope to get some creative juices flowing again.

Sara from Salmon Falls Prims and I did a private swap and this huge box came in the mail yesterday.
I couldn't wait to open the box and no I did not get a picture of it but it was huge!

Sara makes the most beautiful wood items~ and I got to chose three for our swap.
Beautiful table riser~ I have it on my kitchen table.

Primitive stove/noodle board! I've been wanting one for awhile and when I seen that Sara makes them I just had to have it!

And look at this cute what not box! I love it!

Sara also surprised me with this sweet birdhouse and prim flower she made.
I love it all!!

Sara is a very talented wood crafter and the finishes on the wood are so prim perfect!
Thank you so much Sara for doing this swap with me~
Stop by Sara's blog to see what she's been up to~
Sara also has an Etsy store you can visit!

Thanks for stopping by~
Wishing you all a great weekend!
Spring Blessings,

Some Thank you's and what I did with the eggs:

Hi Blog friends!
It's a gorgeous day here in the valley~
Needless to say, I'm not feeling so well~
Got up Sunday morning with a bad head cold and now it's moved to my chest.
Didn't get much sleep and not feeling like doing much of anything today,
but I did want to post about a few things.

Debbie over at Barefoot Primitives held a giveaway
for this sweet doll ornie and I was the lucky winner!
I am so tickled to have one of Debbie's creations~
Thank you Debbie~ I love her and will cherish her always.

Click the picture to enlarge and see the details

I also won one of the giveaways hosted by PAFA.
Brandy of The Lil' Prim Cabin donated these sweet sheep wax tarts
and I was the lucky recipient.
They smell sooooo gooood!
(I added the little country blessings tag~ that Debbie sent with the doll above.)
Thank you Brandy!
Stop by Brady's blog and say Hi~ I'm sure she'd love to meet some new friends.

Remember all the eggs I was working on awhile back~
Well here's what I did with em'.
Last year I started saving all the paper egg cartons so I
could make these prim egg displays.
I made a few last year and they turned out to be a great seller!
Now I just gotta get em in my booth~

That's all I have for now,
gonna do a little visiting in blog land,
then I think I'll just curl up on the sofa, maybe take a nap~ not normal for me~

Wishing you all a wonderful week!
Blessings,

Some Bunny Loves You Swap

Good morning blog friends,

It's gonna be a beautiful day here in the Valley ~
Sunny, light breeze and 70.
Perfect day to do some needed work in the yard!

Well, as you can see by the title of this post, Some Bunny sure does Love Me!
I participated in a swap, hosted by Amy of Bumble Bee Lane.
My partner was Robin of The Primitive Hutch and boy did she spoil me!

Look how pretty Robin wrapped all the goodies.
I couldn't wait to tear into them!

Robin is so talented! I love everything she sent me!
See the Primitive Keepings sign at the bottom of the pic~ I hinted that I'd love one of her signs so, she sent me one!! Thank you so much Robin, I love it!

Love the bunny make do on an old door knob and she even sent some chocolates with a pretty little flower shape dish to put them in! Boy do I feel loved! Robin know's I love American and sent me a great smelling mug mat, which I'll use each morning to set my coffee on and a cute sheep ornie with a flag saddle~ you can see him in the second pic.

This bunny just melts my heart every time I look at it~ so special! See the wire basket? Robin filled it full of goodies too! An Easter pin keep, beautiful! Fabric egg with a stitched bunny, strawberry, a little bunny note pad~ there were a total of three sweet note pads, some spring pocket tissues and a pretty flower book mark.
(You should be able to click on the pictures and enlarge to see all the goodies.)

Love this ditty bag! I'm in all of Robin stitching~ so beautiful!!  Robin also included a yummy candle and some yummy Mccall tarts. AND......

This sweet little doll, wash cloth and hand towel.
Yes, I was very spoiled by Robin!
Robin, Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you are such a sweet friend and oh so talented!

Stop by Robin's blog to see what I sent her and say hi!
If you don't follow Amy or Robin's blogs, you really should~ they both offer sweet friendships and lots of prim goodness.

Well I'm off to get some work done and enjoy the day.
I hope you all enjoy your day too!
Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings,
