Gift from a friend:

Hi blog friends,

Last week I stopped by my friend Lecia's
She's been busy working two jobs, so
 I thought a little surprise would be nice.
Only thing is, she surprised me as well!
Lecia gave me one of her handmade Santa's.

He is perfectly prim!
I absolutely love him!
Thank you Lecia, not only for blessing me with your creations,
but being a wonderful friend.

Many of you who follow my blog also follow Lecia's.
And you may know by reading her last blog post
that her brother passed away this past Saturday unexpectedly.
Lecia has dealt with a lot on her plate this past year
 and is one of the strongest people I know.
Please pray for Lecia and her family in this time of sorrow.

Prayers and strength to you my friend~
Jean

Christmas time is here.......

All the laughter and cheer.......
Can you tell I've been listening to
Charlie Brown's Christmas.
I'm no singer by any means
 and half the time I don't even know the words. LOL.
 Not sure if that the correct verse, but any who....

Just stopped in to give a sneak peak
at some Valentines
I've been working on.

Meet Edith~ is she not a hoot!
the pattern is by Chestnut Junction.
I so enjoy making dolls
of all types.

Now this is Emma with her tattered heart.
She is of my own design.
Sorry, my pics stink!

And this is my Angel of Love doll.
Also of my own design.

I've been thinking about starting a pattern company,
selling patterns of my own designs.

For some reason all these designs and ideas
 keep running through my head and yes,
I put them on paper,
 but usually I stick them away and just forget about them.
I feel like God is sending me in a new direction
and I want to trust in him,
but I am curious......
Etsy now has instant downloads for patterns,
So what do you think?

Thank you for stopping by!
Enjoy the week~ Christmas time is here......

Blessings,
         Jean

Sharing and a Thank You to Sara:

Hi Blog Friends!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
We were able to travel to PA and spend time with my little brother Tom and sil Amy.
My brother is a wonderful cook and prepared a delicious dinner for us.
I ate way to much, but couldn't help myself.
Things always taste better when someone else cooks.
It was a relaxing and enjoyable day.

Can you believe it's
Only 23 days til Christmas!

I'm finishing up some Santa's and Christmas items this week,
then moving on to Easter.
Yep, you read right!
Easter is early again this year!
I'll do some Valentine,
but usually it's not a big selling holiday for me.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I received a big package in the mail last week
from a dear blog friend Sara~ of Salmon Falls Prims
We did a private swap and OH BOY did she spoil me!
Happy Friday! and a freebie..........
Hi Blog Friends!
We've been having such nice weather..... sunny days and cool nights.
It's really feeling like Fall.
Thought I'd pop in and share
a few of the final Fall/Halloween crafts I finished up this week.
Witch Boot display with mice.
My own design.
Mice are still a big sell for me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ghost door doll-
Pattern by Kentucky Primitives.
These were a lot of work, but the result is well worth the effort.
I did leave off the ghost hat in the original pattern,
because I personally liked it better without.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And these beautiful prim Sunflowers.
Pattern by Willow Creek Crossing.
 They look so real in person.
Again they are a lot of work, but the result is amazing!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I haven't offered any freebies or giveaways this year.
(shame on me)
So, I thought I'd share
 this witch boot bowl filler doodle I drew and made
for my selling booths this year.

They've been quite popular for me.

Hopefully you can click on the pic above and save or print.
Embellish and paint however you like!

Wishing you a great weekend!
Get out and enjoy the weather!

Hi Blog Friends!
Gosh, time just keeps flying by~ doesn't it!

There's a crisp cool feeling in the air the past few mornings
and I'm already noticing changes in the tree leaves.

The Farmer's Almanac says we'll have a cooler than usual Fall and a harsher Winter this year.
The wooly bears (caterpillars) are out and so far I've only seen solid brown one's.
I think that's a sign the Almanac is right.
 I'm just not ready for cold weather yet.
I'm a sunny and warm weather kinda girl.

I've been busy making all kinds of Fall items.
Some old favorites, that I won't bore you with pics of.
You can go back to last years posts if you'd like to see them.

Here's a few new items I'm offering in my selling booths this year.
All patterns can be found at Patternmart or Etsy.

Black cat and pumpkin~ pattern by Chestnut Junction.

Witch Brimly~ pattern by Chestnut Junction.

Elvira and Winthrop~ pattern by Soft in the head.

Gurtie picks a winner~ pattern by Ravens Haven.
She's been a GREAT SELLER for me this year!
Not found at patternmart, but at Etsy.

Halloween Goodie Bag~ pattern by Blue Moon Beginnings.

Waverly Witch~ pattern by Chestnut Junction.

I have lots more in the works.

I've also become addicted to Pinterest.
I know I'm behind the times.LOL.
There are so many inspiring pictures~ I wish I could spend hours on there,
but then I'd never get anything done.......
If you'd like, you can visit my boards here~Primsbyjean

Thanks for stopping by~
Have a Blessed Prim Day!

Swap ~Americana~sale finds

Hi Blog Friends,
I know it's been awhile~
I have been working on crafts,
planting the garden,
 doing yard work along with the usual day to day choirs.

To be honest, I'm just not enjoying blogging as much as I use to.
Blogger keeps changing and it's become more of a choir to blog, rather than a fun thing.
Some of you probably can relate.

I wanted to share a wonderful swap I did with Lecia over at Farmhouse Prims.
I had stopped by Lecia's last month for her birthday to drop off some goodies and she showed me the spring rabbits she had made to sell.
Well, I fell in love with them and told her if they don't sell (hoping secretly they don't, ssshhh.)
I'd like to do a swap with her for them.
Lecia emailed me and asked if I really wanted to do the swap~
I was so excited! Of course I did!

Lecia really spoiled me.
Not only did she swap me the rabbit dolls I had drooled over,
but gifted me the cutest little prim sister dolls,
one of her prairie journals, a yummy tart and a beautiful bonnet.

 Just look at the details!

Lecia, I love everything you gifted me. Thank you my friend!
I am so honored to have your handmades to decorate my home.
And even more honored to have such a sweet friend close by that I met through blogland.

Lecia sells her wares each month on Early Work Mercantile.
Stop by to see what she has to offer each month.
I will say, the pics do not do her work justice.
Thank you again Lecia~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thought I'd share a few of the Americana/summer items I've been working on.
Uncle Sam~ pattern by Bits of Cloth( freebie on patternmart right now)
Martha~ pattern by TFC folkart.
Star with Eagle~ pattern by Kentucky Primitives.
Bee door doll~ pattern by Blue Moon Beginnings.
Sam and Liberty~ pattern by Blue Moon Beginnings.
Bee skep with bee's~ combination of patterns
Tennessee Ridge bee skep and Old homestead barn bee's.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thought I'd also share a collage of the items I've been fortunate enough to find at sales lately.
Upper left~ antique straw/hay cutter, really a gorgeous piece, I'd like to keep but not sure if I will.
Nice blue cabinet and white cabinet to re do.
Child size rockers.
sweet baby doll crib from the 40's.
box lot I paid a $1 for full of prim goodness.
And the last pic is a cabinet I picked up to use for storage of all the patterns I have.
I believe it's an old canning cupboard.

That's about all I have to share right now.
I have few summer/Americana items to finish up, then gonna start on fall. Yep you read it right~
Fall will be here before we know it and that's my biggest sell season, so I hope to get stockpiled.

Hope you all are doing well~
Say a prayer for the people whom have suffered so much devastation in the mid west.
It's hard to watch on tv.
Prim Blessings,
             Jean
