Happy Groundhog Day!

Woo Hoo, He did not see his shadow!  According to Mr. Puxatawny Phil, we are to have an early Spring!

I think we can all agree, Come On Spring….

OM Gosh, y’all! What a response on my giveaway just in one day!  Thank you all for your sweet comments. Prim Blog Friends are the BEST!

My sil Amy from Bumble Bee Lane and I did a private swap last week and I must say a big Thank You Amy!  She makes the most awesome candles and tarts.

They all smell so yummy! And look at the blackened bees wax pineapple. I just had to have one and asked her if she’d swap for it. I love  it!

I have been working hard on getting Easter/ Spring things done and I wanted to share a few pic’s with you.

Look how they turned out!

While I was working on them, I was getting discouraged because I did not think they would ever come together and look as sweet as the pattern picture, but after some testing and tweaking, her personality finally started showing through! She is so sweet in person. I hand painted her facial features. Her cone is hand made by me, her ears are possible and I felted her little wool tail on. They are a lot of work, but well worth it!  This is a pattern by Hidden in the Attic. The Cone Flower Bunny.

Rabbit in a can anyone? This little cutie was fun to make. I hand stitched his eyes and mouth and used sisal for his whiskers. I also made his carrots to hold, not included in pattern. They are made from muslin – you take a strip of muslin about 1 1/2” wide by as long as you want and take glue – any glue of your choice, and coat the muslin. Then twist the muslin to form a carrot. let dry and paint! for the top of the carrot I used reindeer moss and hot glued on. They turn out very prim looking! Give it a try if you like. I purchased the bunny in a can pattern from The Wooden Nail.

Gotta get back to work – if you have not signed up for my giveaway, go on down to that post and get in on the fun! I’m only taking entries from that post.

Thank you for stopping by to see what I’ve been up to. Have a great prim day!

  6. I recently started following Amy's blog, love it and love your blackened pineapple!! I'm trying to wax some but they just aren't turning out as nice as my other prim fruit. Maybe I need to see what Amy's secret is, hehe.

Oh, your bunny turned out so adorable! What a sweet little cone on her back, love that touch and all the other details you gave her. Such a creative way to make the little carrots! All your spring items are so cute! Makes me want to decorate right now. I usually wait till the end of Feb/beginning of March but I might have to start a little earlier this year.
